The edges of both bridges (approx.7m) were insulated and protected on 13-14 August 2020, with the spacing of the first insulated sections on 1-2 September 2020. Insulation with Köster TPO 2.0 waterproofing mats, width 2.1m (lot 24520) and 1.5m (lot 11120). The carpets were welded together with an automatic welding machine Leister Varimat V2, and a manual welding machine Leister Triac AT. Welding seam 448m, width 40-50mm, welding temperature 580'C. All weld seams were tested, 6 weld defects were corrected and tested at the cross glue joints, 4 at the Huhko bridge and 2 at the Pasala battery. TPO 2.0 insulation used 876m2 of which about 45m2 for trims and about 30m2 for oversize installation along the length of the bridges, Huhko bridge 16m and Pasala bridge 12m. As planned, a 4mm rubber mat DB F1- 820 was installed under the TPO on the concrete surfaces and the TPO was protected by a double 10mm rubber mat DB GF1-770 installed on top. On the vertical surfaces under the edge beams, the TPO was fixed by gluing with Köster Contact Adhesive, and fixed with 4mmx40mm rst moulding and rst concrete screws 6X40 K300.
